These are general business terms and should receive final legal review before publication.
Seller and acceptance
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the website, courses, exam preparation and digital membership services provided by Citadel Language Company (Citadel, we, us or our). Your agreement for delivery of these services is with Citadel Language Company, subject to Paddle’s separate buyer agreement for orders processed through Paddle. By using our website or services, creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the services or place an order.
Bookings and eligibility
A place is confirmed only after Citadel accepts the registration and any required payment is received. Learners must provide accurate information and meet age, academic, visa or professional requirements that apply to a chosen programme.
Classes and attendance
Schedules, tutors and delivery modes may change where reasonably necessary. Learners are responsible for attending, completing assigned work and using respectful conduct. Course access may be suspended for serious misconduct or misuse.
Exams and results
Citadel prepares learners and may assist with registration, but independent exam bodies control dates, admission, marking and results. We do not guarantee a particular score, visa, admission, employment or migration outcome.
Digital membership
Membership is personal and must not be shared. Library content may be read within the service but may not be copied, recorded, redistributed, resold or used to train another service. Access ends when the paid term expires or the account is suspended for misuse.
Intellectual property
Citadel course notes, branded grammar resources, assessments, recordings and reading passages remain the property of Citadel Language Company or their stated rights holder.
Paddle orders and Merchant of Record
For orders processed through Paddle, our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all orders processed through Paddle. Paddle provides customer service for those orders and handles payments, applicable sales taxes, billing and returns. Citadel remains responsible for delivering the learning service and providing learning and account support. This arrangement does not apply to orders paid through Paystack, Flutterwave or directly to Citadel.
Payments and renewals
Review the amount, currency, billing frequency, applicable taxes and renewal terms shown at checkout before paying. For Paddle orders, payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle’s Buyer Terms. A recurring plan renews at the frequency disclosed at checkout until cancelled; a one-off payment does not authorise recurring charges. Contact Paddle at paddle.net to manage or cancel a Paddle subscription. Cancellation stops future renewals and does not itself constitute a refund request; access ordinarily continues until the end of the paid period unless a refund or lawful suspension ends it earlier. For Paystack, Flutterwave or direct payments, contact Citadel for payment and cancellation support. Refund requests are covered by our Refund Policy. Your bank or payment provider may apply currency-conversion charges.
Acceptable use and account security
Keep account credentials confidential and provide accurate information. You must not use the service unlawfully, commit fraud or send spam, infringe intellectual property rights, distribute malware, probe or interfere with security, scrape protected content, bypass access restrictions or share paid membership credentials. Citadel may suspend or terminate access for material breach, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations, subject to applicable law.
Service availability
We take reasonable care to provide our services, but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free website, account or digital-resource availability. Nothing in these terms limits consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Privacy and communication
Citadel uses submitted information to deliver services, manage accounts, respond to enquiries and meet legal obligations. Service notices may be sent by email, telephone or messaging services using the details provided.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms prospectively. Material changes affecting active paid access will be communicated where practical. Questions may be sent to info@citadellanguages.com.
